Changi Airport redefines surface cleanliness in collaboration with Panariagroup

Jun 27, 2022

Singapore’s Changi Airport is an unforgettable tourist destination in its own right, welcoming thousands of travelers every day. To help maintain surface cleanliness and hygiene, antibacterial ceramic tiles from Panaria Ceramica, a brand of Panariagroup, have been fitted throughout Terminal 4.

Changi Airport has four terminals with T4 covering 225,000 square metres (the size of 27 football pitches put together). It is reported to be one of the busiest airports in the world, serving a range of international travelers.

The strategic selection of building materials, coupled with cutting-edge design and engineering techniques, serves to further cement the traveler experience in T4. Set to handle over 68 million visitors a year, Porcelain stoneware tiles from Panaria Ceramica’s Buxstone collection now line the floors and walls of the terminal.

The Buxstone collection is enhanced with Microban antimicrobial product protection, providing a 24/7/365 line of defense against microbial growth that will not wash off or wear away. Thus, surfaces remain cleaner between regular cleanings for longer, delivering added peace of mind for both airport workers and travelers.
