On the second day of the conference, Microban President, Michael Ruby, gave a presentation on how antimicrobial product protection is becoming a crucial element in sustainable plastics within the built environment. Attendees learned how the inclusion of antimicrobial protection in PVC building materials reduces waste and enhances product longevity.
On the third day, Souvik Nandi, Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Microban, presented the lifecycle of building products and the impact of degrading microbes. He explained how antimicrobial solutions align with sustainable construction practices by extending the lifespan of building materials and reducing the need for harsh cleaning chemicals that can degrade the product and risk pollution.
