Hemitextil: the international trade fair for home and contract textiles

Microban International kicked off the new year in Frankfurt, Germany with a booth at Heimtextil.

Taking place from 10-13 January, the event welcomed more than 44,000 visitors from over 120 countries across the industry, promoting and celebrating all things home and contract textiles.

Microban: keeping homes fresh with smarter textiles

As the pandemic forced many consumers to work remotely, homes became the new office, classroom, and entertainment venue. This drove further demand for home textiles with enhanced durability and cleanliness.

Built-in antimicrobial and odor control technologies actively prevent microbial growth on textile products, even in ideal temperature and humidity conditions. The result is cleaner, fresher home textiles that last longer and help reduce energy consumption.

The booth: the hub for product protection expertise

Located in Hall 11 at Stand D20, the Microban booth invited visitors to explore leading antimicrobial and odor control solutions. The journey took people all the way from technology integration to the final treated product.

A feature wall showcased partner products from KORHANI Home, Slip-X, Manchester Mills, American Textile, Standard Textile, and Jaspal Home, highlighting an array of treatable materials including bed linens, mattresses, towels, and rugs.

The booth also demonstrated how brands and retailers can effectively communicate the product's antimicrobial properties to consumers through packaging concepts, hangtags, labelling, and the use of the Microban Trustmark.
