Microban Excalibur® Solutions for Concrete Corrosion

Unlike traditional approaches to addressing the issue of MICC that attempt to improve acid resistance, Microban® Excalibur® concrete solutions offer unique dual action protection, combining antimicrobial effectiveness against the growth of acid-producing microorganisms with increased hydrophobicity. Testing shows that the treated concrete is better able to resist the penetration of corrosion-causing acid, thus extending the lifespan of the concrete. Microban® Excalibur® technologies provide a cost competitive, differentiated benefit that is meaningful to buyers.

3 Key Benefits of Microban Excalibur®

  • Permanence - Excalibur® is a permanent, cost effective, maintenance-free solution that treats the entire matrix and ensures a lifetime of coverage that won’t wear off of the surface over time.
  • Bacterial Resistance - The active technology for Excalibur® is EPA registered to fight the growth of acid-producing bacteria in concrete; and also provides increased resistance to water permeation, slowing corrosion and extending lifespan.
  • Easy To Use Solutions - The Excalibur® solutions package is fully customizable and can be implemented in both wetcast and drycast mixtures.
