Microban Educates 3C Electronics Manufacturers on Built-In Antimicrobials

Winnie Chen, APAC Technical Service Engineer, discussed ways to create hygienically cleaner 3C electronics products at the exclusive CPRJ event.

Microban was honoured to be a Diamond Sponsor at the 6th Edition of the Plastics in 3C Electronics Conference and Showcase, which was held at the Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai in China on Thursday 17th September.

Organised by China Plastic & Rubber Journal (CPRJ), the prestigious event connected more than 350 leading professionals from across the consumer electronics and plastic industries. Companies in attendance included Lenovo, Panasonic, Kingfa, Midea Group, and Jomoo Group to name but a few.

Winnie Chen, Microban’s very own polymers expert and in-house technical service engineer, educated the audience on built-in antimicrobial technologies for consumer electronic devices and how they can be used to improve the overall hygiene and cleanliness of electronic products. The presentation covered a range of information, including treatment methods, efficacy testing, and regulatory considerations for China. Winnie also discussed existing Microban partners in the 3C space such as Fellowes, Cellularline and Speck.

Concluding with a 2-minute speech at an exclusive Gala Dinner and onsite visits to Lenovo and Shenzhen FRD Science & Technology Co., Ltd, the event was a resounding success for Microban.
