How long have you worked at Microban?

I have been part of the Microban organization for 2 years as of the summer of 2020.

What 3 traits define you?

Here are some personal credos that may let you know a bit more about the traits that define me:

  • Better right than fast.
  • Never stop learning.
  • Better curious than predictable.

What is one interesting fact about you that people would be surprised to learn?

In my lifetime so far, I have lived in 9 states and 2 countries, giving me a priceless appreciation for diversity – cultural and otherwise.

Where is the best place you have traveled to and why?

Having been very lucky to have traveled all over the world, I am most excited about the places I have yet to visit – but honestly one of my favorite places in the entire world is Paris – an absolutely heavenly place to be from a cultural, historic, and food and wine perspective all at once!

How do you define success?

Success for our business means helping our partners solve real world problems, earning their trust and long-term commitment, and delivering consistent value growth to our shareholders.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Very close to the Microban global headquarters is the beautiful Lake Norman which is an incredible asset for our community. This year I have set a goal to learn how to wakeboard!

What three words would you use to describe Microban International?

There’s a reason that more than 300 partners globally choose to work with Microban for our branded and best-in-class Antimicrobial, Odor Control, and Advantaged Disinfection/Sanitization solutions: “We’re The Best”

What is your favorite thing about working in the antimicrobial industry?

I really enjoy the variety of experiences and exposure that working in the antimicrobial industry provides. We pride ourselves at Microban on being able to treat any substrate or surface and solving real world problems, which is redeeming. Each day brings a new and unique challenge.

In order to do this, we have to provide a variety of different products and product forms in order to integrate with finished products without changing the CTQs of that product. We also have to be able to integrate within the manufacturing process without upsetting other variables of products. Lastly, we need to be able to deliver our solutions globally to our partners with the highest of quality, while being mindful of an ever-changing regulatory environment.

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be?

I think it would be an incredible experience to dine with Julia Child. What a trailblazer and fountain of knowledge.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Perfectly cooked filet medallions topped with gorgonzola crust, twice cooked potato, haricot verts with almonds, chopped salad, all paired with a beautiful burgundy, and for dessert - flan.
