Phenix Antimicrobial Carpets Now Available In Expanded Line Up
Recognizing that consumers have a desire for a cleaner home without cleaning more, Phenix Flooring partnered with Microban International in 2016 to create The Cleaner Home collection; a carpet collection that is protected from the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew. Now in 2020, Phenix Flooring expanded the partnership with Microban to treat virtually all Phenix SureSoftSD polyester and newly launched SureSoftSDN nylon styles with the added protection of Microban technology.
Phenix Flooring offers the only carpet with built-in Microban antimicrobial technology – a technology that is always working to keep carpet cleaner for the consumer. “Last year, we made a move to introduce 2019 PET products to include the added feature and benefit of Microban antimicrobial technology, and this year, we’ve extended this protection to virtually all Phenix SureSoftSD polyester and newly launched SureSoftSDN nylon styles,” said Mark Clayton, president of Phenix Flooring.
Microban protects 24/7 against the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew that can cause stains and odors. On an unprotected surface, bacteria can double every 20 minutes. Surfaces with built-in Microban technology remain 99%* cleaner from bacteria and odors than untreated surfaces. “Through this exclusive partnership, Microban is a part of the carpet itself delivering lifetime protection,” added Chris Johnson, seniors vice president of sales.
Phenix chose to work exclusively with Microban due to their strong brand recognition and the ability for consumers to purchase a myriad of other home products which leverage the benefits of Microban technology across a wide assortment of interior surfaces.
