The Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA) Spring Meeting took place May 25-26 in St. Petersburg, Florida, where key foam industry leaders came together to discuss exciting innovations, trends, updates and more. Microban International was in attendance as a technical presenter and sponsor of the industry networking reception to conclude the event.
Dr. Mai Ha, Senior Product Development Engineer at Microban, shared her unparalleled knowledge of antimicrobial foams with the group in her presentation entitled "Improved Passenger Experience in Automotive Interiors with Antimicrobial Foam Solutions." Exploring daily contaminants in automotive interiors overtime, Ha addressed the need for foam manufacturers in this space to think ahead and preserve their materials from the start. Built-in antimicrobial technologies help to resist the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew on treated materials, preserving freshness and durability for an extended functional period of time.
Following the technical session, conference attendees gathered together for a time of fun and fellowship at the Industry Reception, where the conversations and industry education continued. As key sponsor of the reception, Microban Business Development Director, Rich Kenney, addressed the crowd to kick off the evening.
Reflecting on the event, Kenney said, "It was great to be a part of the Spring PFA meeting and catch up with friends and colleagues in the industry. We saw near record attendance and amazing speakers. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting."
Microban was fortunate enough to spend time with current partners and get connected with new faces. The team is looking forward to redefining clean in the foam space and excited to continue these discussions at Foam Expo in Novi, Michigan, June 28-30.
