Microban, the global leader in antimicrobial technology, has appointed Darrell Taylor as Key Account Manager for Europe.
Formerly the Marketing Manager at Lubrizol, Darrell brings a wealth of experience in strategic marketing, product management, and commercial negotiation. Darrell will apply his robust skill-set to help strengthen Microban's partner support mechanisms in Europe.
Graham Harvey, International Group Director for the Built-In business unit at Microban, commented: "I am thrilled to welcome Darrell into the Microban family. His extensive account management experience within the chemicals industry will prove invaluable to our partner companies. I look forward to introducing Darrell to Microban's expanding customer base across Europe."
Starting out in the motorcycle industry, Darrell has enjoyed a fulfilling and diverse career spanning nearly two decades In 2007, Darrell joined Yamaha Motorcycles as a Product Development Specialist, later relocating to Italy to work alongside the company's engineering centre. In 2010, Darrell moved to Triumph, the largest UK-owned motorcycle manufacturer.
After a near-fatal accident in 2011 involving a severe neck fracture, Darrell left the motorcycle industry and moved to Lubrizol, initially in a commercial role in the Driveline Department, progressing to a global marketing position.
In his spare time, Darrell is an avid mountaineer, having climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in 2013 and Mt Elbrus solo in 2018. He has also completed the UK 3-peaks, Welsh 3-peaks and summited various other peaks in both the UK and Ireland. More recently, Darrell's focus has been on travelling across North America, Asia, and Europe with his wife and two children. Up until his accident, Darrell was a keen motorcycle racer and has participated in both on and off-road tracks in the UK, Netherlands, and Belgium.
