Advancing innovation with new technologies

Innovation remained central to Microban's work in 2025 with the launch of three new technologies. AkoTech, H₂O Shield, and EcoFresh were introduced to meet evolving market needs and support customers with solutions grounded in science and proven performance.

Each launch reflects our ongoing investment in research, development and technical expertise, helping partners solve real-world product challenges across industries.

Strengthening leadership for the future

In 2025, Microban appointed a new company president, reinforcing our focus on strategic growth and long-term vision. This leadership milestone supports continued investment in innovation, people, and partnerships, ensuring that Microban is well positioned for the future.

Expanding testing capabilities

To further support customers and partners, Microban welcomed 11 new testing capabilities in 2025. This expansion strengthens our ability to deliver robust, reliable testing and reinforces our commitment to evidence-based solutions.

The growth of our testing capabilities reflects both increased demand and our focus on maintaining high standards of quality and performance. This includes:

  • Analytical Profile Index (API) Bacterial Identification
  • ASTM E 3364: Standard Test Method for Evaluating the Performance of Antimicrobials in or on Polymeric Porous and Non-Porous Materials Against Staining by Streptomyces species
  • ASTM C1338: Fungi Resistance of Insulation Material and Facings
  • ISO 4768: Measurement method of anti-biofilm activity on plastic and nonporous surfaces
  • ISO 16869: Plastics — Assessment of the effectiveness of fungistatic compounds in plastics formulations
  • ISO 17299-2: Textiles — Determination of deodorant property Part 2: Detector tube method (Acetic Acid)
  • *ISO 17299-6: Textiles — Determination of deodorant property Part 6: Gas chromatography method using automated dosing and sampling
  • MIL STD 810 H: Assess the susceptibility of materials to fungal growth.
  • Visual method for assessing antimicrobial activity on non-leaching textiles
