Tech Talks at Techtextil North America
This year, the show floor presents Tech Talks, a feature area housing the event’s robust show-floor education. The Academy is hosting a lineup of complementary presentations, demonstrations, and discussions covering the latest developments in technical textiles.
On May 11th at 1pm local time, Dr. Xiuzhu Fei, Senior Formulations Engineer at Microban, will be presenting “Advances in Textile Technology Solutions and Best Practices for Treating Bacteria, Mold, Mildew, and Odor." The presentation will cover textile hygiene pain points, their causes, treatments, and regulatory challenges. Dr. Fei will also discuss the latest innovations by Microban that not only keep products fresher and cleaner for longer, but also increase the durability of high-performance materials.
How do antimicrobial and odor-control technologies support the sustainability of technical textiles and nonwovens?
By preventing the growth of degrading microbes and malodors, these technologies can help reduce the need for frequent laundering or product replacements, ultimately reducing waste and conserving resources. This benefits environment and can result in cost savings for businesses and consumers alike.
