4. Where is the best place you have traveled to and why?

Cape Lookout Bight - 2019 - via sailing trimaran

  • Arrival at the Bight took place after over 50 miles of sailing both the Pamlico Sound and portions of the Atlantic Ocean.
  • As I anchored within the inlet it marked a 2-year attempt at completing the Shackleford Challenge (100-mile sailboat race).
  • Upon arrival at Cape Look Out Bite, I anchored my boat in the dark waters around 2 am. Then laid down on the deck and stared up at the sky.
  • The stars, sky, and milky way were the clearest and most vibrant I have ever seen in my entire life.
  • Never have the sky and heavens seemed more crystal clear.
