Engineering Lab Services

Our engineering lab utilizes developmental tools such as a 22-Ton injection molding machine and multiple twin screw extruders. When performing an analytical antimicrobial test, our chemists begin by extracting antimicrobial additives from your product samples in our analytical labs. We utilize high temperatures and pressures during a process called microwave extraction. Various analytical lab tools then analyze your product sample in order to quantify levels of present antimicrobial additives. Machines such as the High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), Liquid Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (LCMS), Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AA) are valuable pieces to every product’s quantifiable additive puzzle.
After determining your sample’s antimicrobial loading level, our chemists compare the results to the target loading level, benchmarking it against the microbiology efficacy results.
