Antibacterial Sponges

Studies have shown that kitchen sponges can harbor copious amounts of bacteria. That's why it is important to regularly clean the product. However, there is one problem - bacteria tend to grow back quickly! By incorporating an antimicrobial agent into the product during the manufacturing process, the growth of bacteria and mold are prevented before they can take hold. The result is a cleaning tool that doesn't succumb to stains or odours caused by microbes.

Antibacterial Tea Towels

Research has shown that tea towels could increase the risk of food poisoning! Scientists at the University of Mauritius found 49% of the kitchen towels collected in the study had bacterial growth. This increased with family size and the presence of children in the household. Towels that were used for multiple purposes - such as cleaning surfaces and drying hands - also had a higher bacterial count than single-use towels.

EGL Homecare is constantly striving to alleviate consumer concerns about bacteria - especially in the kitchen. That's why they have developed a range of antibacterial cleaning towels powered by Microban technology.

New Launch! Antibacterial Rubber Gloves

A study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene found that gloves are often contaminated with harmful bacteria during use. EGLs rubber gloves feature built-in Microban antimicrobial technology, which helps prevent bacterial growth on the surface of the gloves 24/7/365 and for their usable lifetime.

This added layer of protection helps to reduce the risk of bacterial cross-contamination from the gloves to other surfaces, as well as provide added peace of mind for the user.

How Do Antimicrobial Treatments Work to Keep Cleaning Tools Cleaner For Longer

Integrated at the stage of manufacture, Microban® antibacterial technology works to disrupt the vital life processes and biological functions of contaminating microbes. This means they cannot grow or reproduce on the treated cleaning product and subsequently die. Fewer microbes = a cleaner, fresher cleaning tool!
