HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 2016) – Microban® International Ltd., the global leader in textile odor control and prevention, today announced it will relaunch its textiles division in Europe at Performance Days, Nov. 16 – 17 in Munich. Leveraging its 30-year heritage of providing innovative protection solutions for extended freshness and odor control in textiles, Microban will introduce a complete brand refresh, including a new website, launching next month, and revamped marketing collateral for its brand partners. Additionally, Microban has expanded its product and sales team in Asia, Europe and the U.S. with seasoned textile industry executives.
Microban will host “The Science of Odor Control, Odor Control Technologies and Testing” workshop Nov. 17 during Performance Days to explore the science of odor by looking into why apparel, footwear and gear stink, and solutions available for controlling these odors along with industry standard test methods. The workshop will be presented by Brian Aylward, director of liquid formulations at Microban, and Zsolt Huszágh, head of Microban’s textile business development in Europe. The relaunch of its textile division builds upon Microban’s debut of its recent odor capture and odor control products including aegis excalibur® and Scentry®, now being used by top material brands and manufacturers worldwide. Coinciding with this momentum, is Microban’s recent bluesign® approval for its Scentry BC100, an odor capture treatment for textiles, and ZPTech® ZO6, a wide-spectrum antimicrobial technology for textiles.
