Home Impressions acquired the rights to the DuPont™ brand for air and water filtration products. However, to launch in these categories they first needed to develop product innovations that would deliver on the DuPont brand promise, “miracles of science.” Microban® antimicrobial technology became a key component to delivering on the DuPont commitment to scientific innovation. In addition, the Microban brand provided them with a brand both recognized and trusted by retailers. The Microban brand and technology were both key components in their go to market strategy, which resulted in important retail distribution for both air and water filtration.
