AEGIS technology is here to help as the world reopens.
Backed by more than 40 years of testing, AEGIS® technology has a history of safe use and is a globally recognized mark for surface protection systems. It is a durable and effective way to control the growth of a wide range of microbes, including bacteria, fungi, algae, mold, and mildew on surfaces found in healthcare, educational, and public transportation settings. No matter what material or surface you're seeking to treat, we are here to explore your specific application criteria and create a customized solution that aligns with your vision and business. We offer guidance and support in a complex regulatory landscape, from reviewing marketing claims to pursuing section 18 exemptions with the EPA.
AEGIS also has a long history of collaborating with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and abiding by its regulations, a key differentiator from other industry alternatives. AEGIS will be part of an ongoing study by the EPA Office of Research and Development. The purpose of the study is to test various antimicrobial technologies for antiviral efficacy on surfaces under varying conditions. Different enveloped and non-enveloped viruses are being studied, including SARS-CoV-2. Under review, the antimicrobial actives are applied to the surface via electrostatic sprayer, trigger-pull sprayer, airbrush, and submersion, standard application methods used in the trade. This testing provides an initial assessment of these antimicrobial technologies to inactivate viruses at various contact times.
Our initial testing shows promising results , making it a great potential product for municipalities seeking section 18 exemptions with the EPA. This technology will require the appropriate regulatory approvals prior to commercialization. We are excited to partner with you and discussing your technology options with you.
