Cleanroom Technology Conference to Feature Dr. Glenner Richards

Apr 16, 2019

Dr. Richards, Director of Microbiology at Microban International, will present "A systems approach to hygiene in the food processing environment," an overview of the key steps necessary to help achieve sustainable sanitization and cleanliness for the food processing industry.

Hygiene in the food processing environment continues to be an issue of paramount focus around the world. The onslaught of food recalls and even sickness resulting from foodborne pathogens have led to an expansion of food safety regulations globally. Facility managers in food processing facilities are tasked with taking a proactive approach to managing food risk. Likewise, manufacturers of products for these environments must innovate to support a holistic approach to cleanliness and ultimately the overall health of the environment. In this talk, Dr. Richards will explore the food processing environment, note global regulations related to hygiene for food processing and provide an overview of systematic solutions to meet the ever-changing requirements of the food industry.
