Microbes 101.

Faster than a speeding microbe.

High humidity levels can make an unprotected spa surface an environment where bacteria can double in number every 20 minutes. And only when they’ve multiplied to hundreds of thousands, can they be seen by the naked eye.

Using a confocal microscope, below is time lapse photography of bacteria growth on an unprotected surface and a surface infused with Microban® antimicrobial protection over a 24 hour period.
 

Rules of clean.

After viewing these images, you can see how Microban® protection begins to work immediately, disrupting key bacterial cell functions so that the bacteria are unable to grow or reproduce on the surface. While on the unprotected surface, bacteria quickly multiply.
