Flex Series modular flooring system -- the foundation for exceptional home gyms -- introduced by Venture Products

Available under the Shock Athletic® brand name and infused with Microban antimicrobial product protection

FAIRFIELD, NJ (Nov. 7, 2013) – For the millions of Americans working out at home, quality flooring is a major safety and performance consideration. And quality is exactly what Venture Products delivers with its new Shock Athletic® Flex Series customizable, modular flooring system.

Specifically designed to address the increasingly popular trend of individuals and families training under their own roofs -- as opposed to the small minority of Americans paying for costly health club memberships* -- the Flex Series offers exceptional durability and value.  With a minimal investment, users can purchase any combination of the Extreme, Yoga, or Super Soft flooring and arrange the interlocking tiles in an infinite number of ways to create their own custom work-out space that addresses all of their fitness needs.

"First and foremost, our Flex Series is a complete flooring system that users can tailor to fit their home environment and the types of exercise they prefer," explains Venture Products Partner Steve Fischer. "I'd encourage anyone who's committed to working out in their basement, garage, or a spare room to seriously consider making our Flex Series system the foundation of their home gym."

All Flex Series tiles are infused during production with Microban® antimicrobial product protection, which inhibits the growth of stains and odors from bacteria, mold, and mildew for the life of the product. It cannot wear or be washed off.

All Flex Series tiles are easy-to-clean and water resistant, measuring 24 inches x 24 inches and more than  ¾ of an inch thick.

Extreme Flooring features a tough, durable, EPDM rubber surface with a tread texture and a soft, shock absorbing foam base.  It's engineered for extreme, high-intensity workouts, plyometrics, free weights, and all types of equipment.  Each set includes four tiles with finishing borders and covers 16 square feet.

Super Soft Flooring features a wave texture for a massage-like feel and extra soft foam that is ideal for stretching, tumbling, floor exercises and Pilates.  Each set includes three tiles with finishing borders and measures 24 inches  x 72 inches when assembled, creating the ideal, extra thick workout mat for superior cushioning.

Yoga Flooring features a sticky, yoga mat surface with a high density foam base engineered for all types of yoga and Pilates.  Each set includes three tiles and finishing borders and measures 24 inches x 72 inches when assembled, creating the perfect extra thick yoga mat for superior support.

Flex Series flooring can be found at select locations of participating retailers, including Sears and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
